“Vanitas Plastica” receives Highly Commended in 2020 Border Art Prize
Shannon Doyle’s painting “Vanitas Plastica” received a Highly Commended at the 2020 Border Art Prize.
Guest judge was Niomi Sands, Director of Grafton Regional Gallery spoke of Shannon’s painting during the announcement. She said, “This striking work comments on contemporary life. It shines a light on our use of plastic whist reflecting on the traditions of still life.”
The Border Art Prize encourages the efforts of artists residing and working in the Tweed and neighbouring shires.
