A collaborative show of art and food by Shannon Doyle & AVVIA

Award winning artist Shannon Doyle brings his artworks to one of the Gold Coast’s favourite restaurants, AVVIA. For one evening, Shannon will join with owners, Eddie and Cherie Uzan, to bring you a selection of artworks and culinary delights. Shannon will be painting live, giving you the opportunity to see how he works and speak with him directly. An opportunity not to be missed as the art of painting and the art of taste combine.

Shannon Doyle explains why he has combined with Avvia on ‘Appetite for Art’; “I believe the boundaries between gallery and restaurant are being blurred more and more as artists, including myself, seek alternate venues for showing our art. So when Eddie and Cherie invited me to have an exhibition at AVVIA, I immediately jumped at the opportunity. The combination of art and food can result in an unforgettable extra sensory experience, especially when the food and art compliment each other.  After spending time with Eddie, the Owner/Chef at AVVIA, I came to the realisation that we have much in common in relation to our approach to our art making process. The obvious difference being Eddie works with food as his medium while I use paint. This opportunity is about providing a relaxing atmosphere where people can experience great food and quality art”.

Husband and wife team Ehud (Eddie) and Cherie Uzan both having developed a passion for cuisine, knew they wanted to combine the love of the surf with the elegance of fine dining.
